Check Your Access to EPJ Fulltext Service
Dear Author, Editor, Referee and Colleague,
The European Physical Journal (EPJ) serves well over 13,000 IP ranges worldwide and thereby ensures an almost total global coverage. Occasionally we get inquiries about the full-texts access to the EPJ journals. We would therefore like to provide you here with the corresponding information in case of doubt.
We would first like to kindly ask you to actually check whether you have access to the full-texts via your institution. For this, please follow the instructions below:
1) Start with the main page of the EPJ portal: www.epj.org
2) Select one of the EPJ journals and open the pull-down menu
3) Click on "e-content"
This will bring you to the journal's online homepage on SpringerLink.
If the issues listed appear with a little green square then you have already access to the online full texts and most probably you access as an authorized user of your university or institution having a subscription or being member of a consortium with access to the EPJ journal you chose.
On this page you can also activate the TOC Alerting service for this journal. You just have to register once as an individual user in SpringerLink and you will receive all future TOC Alerts including the tables of content of the most recent issue. Find more information at Springerlink/Alerting.
If the issues listed appear with a little empty square, then you are not recognised as an authorised user with a subscription or member of a consortium having online full text access to the chosen EPJ journal. This may also occur if you access from your home computer.
In this case, please contact your librarian asking him whether your institution subscribes to the EPJ journal, indeed, in some cases this simply may turn out as a technical problem of the set-up of the journal in your libraries' e-journal database.
If it should turn out that your institute neither subscribes to the journal nor is part of a consortium with access to the online full texts we are pleased to offer you a personal online access to your selected section of EPJ valid for 6 months.
Please contact Springerlink Support to ask for a login and to let us know your institution. You will then receive username and password in two separate emails simultaneously (security reasons). You may reapply for an extension of this personal account if your home institution has not gained access to EPJ by the end of this period. Permission for extensions in such a case is usually granted but remains at the discretion of the EPJ publishing consortium. Please do not hesitate to get back to us for further information on EPJ journals or on SpringerLink.
With best wishes
The EPJ Publishing Consortium
